The A6061 Rope Pulley is the 4th generation of Molchanovs pulley systems. Minimalistic, durable, and easy to use. Dive safer with components that make retrieval faster, and adjust the line without a second thought with the pulley’s unique handle and easy operation. Designed for dive lines 8 - 12mm in diameter.

Durable
Constructed from anondized A6061 aluminum and stainless steel for superior strength and long-lasting performance.

Unique handle
An updated handle shape is comfortable to use and protects against rope burn, while its distinctive placement makes it easier to reach while preventing accidental engaging of the lever.

Fast retrieval
Stainless steel axes and nylon 9 pulley wheels create less friction and require less effort when pulling the dive line, while making retrieval faster.

Easy operation
To release the line, simply push down on the handle; to raise the line, place your foot between the pulley and the buoy with your foot turned outward. Instructions are printed on the pulley itself.

Carabiner not included.

Setup

The A6061 Rope Pulley must be used with a large carabiner, 100-120mm minimum (not included).

If you do not have a lanyard stopper already on the rope:

  1. Locate the end of the rope where the bottom weight will attach.
  2. Pull the end of the rope under the metal pin (through the handle) and underneath the rope stopper (rope stopper should be in an open position*).
  3. Continue feeding the rope under the rope stopper and out through the other side.
  4. Test the pulley on land before using it in the water.

If you already have a lanyard stopper on the rope that cannot be removed:

  1. Locate the end of the rope opposite of where the bottom weight will attach to.
  2. Push the end of the rope through the pulley system over the larger side with the wheel and underneath the rope stopper (rope stopper should be in an open position*).
  3. Pull the rope through and continue feeding it underneath the metal pin (through the handle).
  4. Test the pulley on land before using it in the water.

*See the illustration below for the rope stopper’s ‘open’ position

Secondary Safety Measure

When diving, we recommend taking the remaining loose rope and secure it to a second carabiner (we recommend using the clove hitch) attached to another place on the buoy outside of the D-ring area, such as one of the handles. This will provide a backup attachment point as a secondary safety measure (see the illustration below for reference).
