AIDA Austria’s Hydro Dynamic 2024 freediving pool competition, which was held October 19 - 20, 2024, sees a successful conclusion and welcomes two new AIDA National Records for Austria and Hungary.
The Hydro Dynamic competition was first organized in 2012. This 9th edition of the competition featured 44 athletes from 11 countries, with 18 first-time participants in the series and two first-time competitors. This year’s edition of the competition featured A-Level head judge Christian Foetinger and a 10-member certified safety team led by Su Wei Tran, who ran on-site testing to confirm safety skills and response time.
Although competition organizers faced a power outage and broken speaker system, both issues were solved quickly, and they delivered a well-organized, smooth, and safe competition to the large number of athletes.
